Directions

To Make the Meatballs:
  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  2. In a medium bowl, add turkey, soy sauce, ginger, garlic powder, egg and breadcrumbs; mix with a sturdy spoon until thoroughly combined.
  3. Roll meat mixture into balls approximately 1 inch in diameter.
  4. Place a metal rack on a sheet pan and place meatballs on rack. (This makes crisper meatballs than baking them on the pan surface.)
  5. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, until meatballs reach an internal temperature of 165 degrees.
To Make the Teriyaki Sauce:
  1. In a saucepan over medium heat, combine 3/4 cup water, Teriyaki Marinade Mix and agave nectar.
  2. In a small bowl, add remaining 1/4 cup water and the cornstarch, and mix until smooth.
  3. Increase heat to medium-high, pour cornstarch mixture into saucepan and bring to a boil, whisking, for 2 to 5 minutes, until teriyaki sauce reaches desired thickness.
To Finish:
  1. Add meatballs to pan and toss with sauce to warm through and coat well.
  2. Transfer to serving dish and top with green onions and sesame seeds. For an appetizer, serve with a toothpick in each meatball.
