Parma Rosa Sauce with Pasta

Here’s a classic pasta sauce that’s essentially a combination of two great sauces — marinara and Alfredo. This kid-friendly dish is easy and delicious, and adults will love it too!

Ingredients
- 1/4 cup extra-virgin olive oil
- 1 1/2 pounds fresh plum tomatoes (or your favorite other red variety), diced
- 1 teaspoon Frontier Co-op® Himalayan Pink Salt
- 1 teaspoon Frontier Co-op® Organic Garlic Granules
- 1/2 teaspoon Frontier Co-op® Black Pepper
- 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
- 1 tablespoon Frontier Co-op® Organic Parsley Flakes
- 1 teaspoon Frontier Co-op® Oregano
- 1 teaspoon Frontier Co-op® Thyme Leaf
- 1/4 teaspoon Frontier Co-op® Cane Sugar
- 1/2 cup grated or shredded Parmesan cheese
- 16 ounces pasta, prepared per package directions
Directions
- In a large saucepan over medium heat, heat olive oil. Add tomatoes, salt, garlic granules and black pepper, cover and simmer for about 10 minutes, until tomatoes are soft.
- Remove from heat and slowly stir in cream. Stir in parsley, oregano, thyme, sugar and Parmesan cheese. Return to stove and simmer over low heat for 5 to 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Toss with your favorite cooked pasta and enjoy!
- For a smoother sauce, blend tomato mixture in a blender before adding the heavy cream.
