Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 pound ground chicken
- 1/2 cup finely chopped yellow onion
- 3 cloves finely minced garlic
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- 1 tablespoon Simply Organic® Garam Masala
- 1/2 teaspoon Simply Organic® Ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon Simply Organic® Turmeric
- Sea or Himalayan pink salt, to taste
- Simply Organic® Black Pepper, to taste
- 2 tablespoons finely chopped fresh cilantro, plus more for garnish
- Butter lettuce leaves, for serving
- Optional: mango chutney, for serving
Directions
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chicken and sauté, breaking it up and cooking until browned.
- Add onion and garlic and continue cooking for 4 to 5 minutes, until onion starts to soften.
- Add tomato paste, garam masala, ginger, turmeric, salt, pepper and cilantro and stir evenly to incorporate. Cook for another few minutes, then remove from heat.
- Spoon into center of butter lettuce leaves and top with mango chutney, if using.
