We’d like to explain both options and how you could save even more money by converting your non-member account to a member-owner account.

Frontier Co-op has been a member-owned cooperative supporting natural living since 1976. From the beginning, our customers and member-owners have been the core of who we are as a co-op, and continue to be as we move forward. How Does a Co-op Work?

We’re owned, as we have been from the beginning, by our wholesale customers — the stores and other organizations that buy and resell our products. These customers provide the capital for the business to operate, take responsibility as member-owners through an elected Board of Directors and share the co-op’s earnings.

Membership and Benefits

We offer two choices of accounts: member-owner and non-member.

You can become a lifetime member-owner of the co-op for just $10. This one time refundable fee gets you membership benefits, the best savings and ownership of the co-op.

If you wish to continue purchasing from us without becoming a member, our non-member wholesale account allows you to purchase products at 7% above member prices.

If you spend more than $145 a year on products, becoming a member-owner will actually save you money. The one-time $10 fee removes the 7% surcharge and allows you to buy at deeper discounts.

For example, if you buy $275 worth of products, you’re paying $294.25 before tax as a non-member. With a member-owner account, that amount is simply $275 before tax. The $10 fee you’d pay to become a member has already paid for itself by saving you almost $20.

Switching from a non-member to member is easy! Simply provide your Inside Sales or Customer Service rep with your W9 (for tax purposes) information, pay the one-time $10 and you’re set. You’re able to keep the same account number, shopper accounts and assigned rep.
