In April 2017, Frontier Co-op launched a newly designed wholesale website with the goal of enhancing navigation, product information, checkout efficiency, stability, reporting and search functionality. Rather than improving the site and making it easier to shop, the relaunch accomplished the opposite. The site has become less stable and more difficult to navigate. For this, we sincerely apologize.
Frontier Co-op exists to serve our members and our wholesale site is a key tool in meeting that goal. We have been wrestling with this issue for a year, trying to achieve the initial goal of having a robust website. Now, rather than try to fix something that's fundamentally flawed, we have made the commitment to start from scratch. Our members deserve the best online experience possible – and we’re determined to make that happen.
Our goal is to relaunch the wholesale site in August 2018. We have hired new IT staff with considerable experience in website commerce, and we are working with a development partner who has a long track record of successful launches. We will be launching the new website with one of the most stable and popular e-Commerce platforms in the world. We are highly confident that we’ll get it right this time.
In the meantime, thank you for your patience. We appreciate your loyalty. We’re here to serve you and are eager to make amends. Expect monthly updates from our new Director of IT, Chaka Wallace, on our progress toward the August 2018 goal.
